well, congratulations, you got none right. I wont give partial credit on C, as you had one right and one wrong answer.
convection implies moving air. How does that heat water on a stove. But it might explain the air coming from the refrigerator door.
Match each example to a heat mechanism. Terms may be used more than once.
EXAMPLES:
A. Water is heated on a stove.
B. You feel cold near a closed window.
C. You feel cool air at your feet when you open the refrigerator.
D. A blacksmith dips red-hot steel into a bucket of water to cool it down.
HEAT MECHANISM
I. Conduction
II. Convection
III. Radiation
A = II
B = I
C = II or III?
D = III
4 answers
A = III
B = II
C = II
D = I
B = II
C = II
D = I
A could be radiation, but it is usually not. I have seen one infared stove top in my life which heated by radiation, all the rest were conduction from hot gases in the flame to the pot. I think the best answer for the stove top is conduction.
thanks:)
