Convection currents occur in the following areas:
- Atmosphere
- Hydrosphere
- Mantle
Convection currents are movements caused by the uneven heating of materials, which can be found in the atmosphere (air currents), hydrosphere (ocean currents), and mantle (where heat from the core causes movement of molten rock).
The lithosphere (crust) generally does not experience convection currents in the same way as those above, and the biosphere does not involve convection currents as a physical process.
