Save Energy, Save Our Planet!
Be Smart with Electricity at Home!

KITCHEN TIPS:

  1. Use Energy-Efficient Appliances: Choose appliances with the ENERGY STAR label. They use less electricity and save you money!
  2. Cook with Lids On: Cover pots and pans while cooking to keep heat in. This helps food cook faster and uses less energy!
  3. Don't Preheat for Everything: Only preheat the oven when it’s necessary. Many dishes can cook just fine without it!

BATHROOM TIPS:

  1. Limit Hot Showers: Try to take shorter showers. A 5-minute shower uses less hot water than a long one!
  2. Turn Off the Tap: Don’t let the water run while brushing your teeth or washing your face. It saves both water and energy!
  3. Use LED Bulbs: Replace regular bulbs with LED ones in the bathroom. They last longer and use less electricity!

BEDROOM & LIVING ROOM TIPS:

  1. Unplug Devices: Remove chargers and electronics from the outlet when not in use. “Phantom energy” can waste electricity!
  2. Use Natural Light: Open curtains during the day and let sunlight in. This reduces the need for artificial lighting!
  3. Energy-Efficient Lighting: Switch to LED or CFL bulbs. They last longer and are more energy-efficient than regular bulbs!

WORKPLACE TIPS:

  1. Turn Off Electronics: Shut down computers, printers, and monitors when not in use or during breaks.
  2. Use Power Strips: Plug multiple devices into a power strip and turn it off when not in use to save energy.
  3. Be Aware of Heating/Cooling: Adjust the thermostat to a comfortable but not extreme setting. Dress appropriately for the season!

Together, Let’s Make a Difference!
Save Energy, Save Money, Save the Environment!

Every little bit helps!
