Los pronombres demostrativos

1. Pick three different categories- cats, dogs, school subjects, food, sports, cars, etc.
2. Find three different pictures, one for each category, and copy them into a word document.
3. Write one sentence for each picture to tell me which one you prefer and why.
4. Remember when you write the demonstrative adjective with an accent, it becomes a pronoun. A pronoun takes the place of the noun, so you WON’T use the noun after it:
Éste gato es inteligente. WRONG! You don’t need the noun “gato” because it is
replaced by the pronoun “Éste”.
Éste es inteligente. CORRECT! It would translate as: “This one” is smart.

Use one demonstrative pronoun in each sentence:

Gender Number Pronoun
masculino singular éste
ése
aquél
plural éstos
ésos
aquéllos
femenino singular ésta
ésa
aquélla
plural éstas
ésas
aquéllas
