lim (x+x^2)/3x

x->0

i need to factor it first then find the limit and the answer is 1/3. I just don't know how to work it out.

1 answer

lim (x+x^2)/3x , as x ---> 0
= lim x(1+x)/(3x) as x ---> 0
= lim (1+x)/3 as x ---> 0
= (1+0)/3
= 1/3
