evualuat using change of base rule

log(√8)16

^the square root 8 is supposed to be subscript.

the answer i got was 8/3, not sure if that is right

This can be done without a calculator
let log √816 = x

(√8)^x = 16
( (2^3)^(1/2)^x = 2^4

3(1/2)x = 4
3x = 8
x = 8/3
