Just need help on the first 3 steps. I have tried to factoring it, its like there are no factors.

That is clearly so. From the Rational Roots Theorem, you know that the only possible rational roots are ±1.

So, the only way to find the roots are to graph it and try to read off the roots, or use some numerical method, such as bisection or Newton's method, or Horner's method.

I suggest you review the section of your text being studied, to see how they solved a similar problem.
