A: The floor had fallen from beneath their feet. While his wife may have suspected this, Juan's children would have never have imagined that their father would be diagnosed with such a disease. In fact, this news shocked his youngest child, his only daughter, after seeing such improvements being made by her father before her very eyes. However, shock is followed by fear. Therefore, Juan and his family had never been closer while waiting anxiously for Juan to receive treatment?

A: There are several factors that may have contributed to Juan's cancer and high blood pressure. Not exercising regularly prior could surely have contributed to his high blood pressure. The factor which caused early lung cancer, however, is evident. There is no doubt that his long-lasting habit of smoking is what caused this. Fortunately, Juan could have prevented this by making healthier lifestyle choices, such as exercising regularly and not smoking, to reduce his chances of developing these diseases as the decisions, or choices, he made are the cause of them?
3. Why do you think the number of people who are 65 or older has risen so dramatically?
A: I think the number of people who are 65 or older has risen so dramatically because they possess positive attitudes towards growing older, thus they take better care of themselves. I also think this rise is due to the fact that there is now better healthcare, medicine, and means to maintain the health of those who are becoming elderly?
