I've been working on this problem for HOURS and I still can't figure it out. It's due by tomorrow. And I'm so frustrated.

DX I know I have to convert ounces into gallons, but I can't find a path at all.

DX

Here is the question:

I need to mix the gas with oil for my weed whacker. The instructions said to put 3 ounces of oil in one-half gallon of gas. I have a 5 gallon gas can. How much oil do I add?

and we are doing this:

x top unit
_______ = _____________
bottom unit bottom unit

bottom and top must be same units.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME BEFORE TOMORROW MORNING?

i don't get your formula but if you have 3 oz of oil for 1/2 gallon of gas then you need 6 oz of oil for 1 gallon. you need 5 gallons so you multiply 6*5. you need 30 oz of oil.
Oh I never thought of that! I feel quite stupid now, haha. thank you so much!

ALSO.
I'm also trying to find a path of conversion to ounces to gallons.

So I have

Start: ounces
Goal: gallons

Path:
16 oz= 1 lb
1 oz = 480 grains

But none of that leads to gallons, which makes me want to rip out my hair : [[
160 oz per gallon
im pretty sure anyway
16 oz. = 1 pint
2 pints = 1 quart
1 gallon = 4 quarts
