it was a question from my quiz, I never got the function. the coordinates in the table were x=0,1,2,3 y=2,8,32,128. I had to state what kind it was, ex: quadratic, linear etc. and what the function was ex: y=3+5 or something. Do you have any idea what it could be?

Did you notice this pattern?

2 = 2(1) = 2(4)^0
8 + 2(4) = 2(4)^1
32 = 2(16) = 2(4)^2
128 = 2(64) = 2(4)^3
