I think it’s about time schools change their longtime traditional starting hours to accommodate teenagers’ well-being.

It's o.k., but I'd insert "that" between "time" and "schools."
Do you need to keep "I think"? Or is it clear that this is your opinion you're stating?
And I agree with Ms. Sue about adding "that" in the sentence.
Another question I have is whether you need to keep both "longtime" and "traditional" in there. Since they mean the same thing, take one out.
