Isn't it also ironic that tragedies have been reduced to old newspapers stuffed in a closet? Also look at the last few lines of the poem.</b>

one earthquake in Alaska,

face down in Asian mud.
I could go on enumerating
like newsprint-we record
violent death&hockey scores
&keep the front room neat"
