Is there any chance that any type or form of DVD will be considered obsolete in the future like an old-fashioned video casseste for movies?

yes there is. Technology is constantly progressing and before we know it even DVD's, which seem to be the best movie media, will soon be obsolete. The video cassette is now considered old fashioned due to the new dvd, which is roughly only 10 years old. I grew up with video cassettes, but now the quality of a dvd is much better. Soon there will be media that makes for a more realistic viewing experience, as well as a scratch free disk (the dvd removed the always tangled video cassette tape, maybe something will change the scratched up dvd)
Al: There is 100 percent chance DVD's will be obsolete.
So a Blu-ray disc will replace the DVD soon?
