Some forms of energy (notably oil) have already reached their maximum rates of production. The supply is being depleted faster than new reserves are found.
Solar, tidal and wind energy will always be available. Breeder reactors (which make their own fuel from abundant U-238) can extend nuclear energy production for centuries, if society decides to go that way.
