Is it possible to build both trust and intimacy more easily with both males and females on the Net? Why or why not?

I'm not sure I understand the question.

Are you asking if it's easier to build trust and intimacy with males or with females on the Net?

What do you think?
That's the question. I am not sure. I think it depends upon the individual. What do you think?
I agree that it depends on the individuals involved.

If you copied the question correctly, I suggest you go back to your instructor and ask for clarification. As posted, it's ambiguous.
Yea, aren't all the questions teachers ask of us!
With some people, they may be more open because of the anonymity. Others might express information that merely shows them in a better light. I also think it varies more with the individual than the gender. However, outside the Internet, men are more likely to communicate facts, while women are more likely to express emotions. Could that mean that women would be more honest on the Internet? I don't know.

I also think another variable would be where the information is posted, for example, a site dealing with a specific problem (e.g., cancer) rather than merely a social site. I would expect more honesty in the former.
