Is an airplane flying round trip at a constant speed an example of uniform circular motion or is a record player rotating at a record speed?

The record player undergoes uniform circular motion. They do this by spinning, without "going" anywhere.
Airplanes do not fly in circular paths when doing round trips, although they could. It would not be fuel-efficient.
