INTERVIEW WITH A MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL

Make an appointment to meet with a mental health professional either in person, via Zoom or via phone. This could be someone who works in an agency identified as an inpatient or outpatient mental health agency. It could also be someone in private practice or who does counseling in a community agency. Ask him/her the following questions:

What do you think is necessary for mentally ill people to recover, or to be able to function in society?
What counseling methods or theories do you favor?
What is your stand on using psychotropic medicine to treat mental illness?
