The cell cycle is like a big dance that every cell does to grow and make new cells. First, the cell gets ready by making copies of itself, then it splits into two new cells, just like how one balloon can be tied to become two! This is really important because it helps living things grow, heal when they're hurt, and keep everything working properly. Without the cell cycle, we wouldn’t be able to grow or repair our bodies!
