Resource scarcity, competition, and the survival of organisms are all connected because when there isn't enough of something like food or water, organisms have to compete to get what they need to survive. This competition pushes organisms to adapt and evolve in order to be better at getting resources. The organisms that are best at competing for resources are more likely to survive and pass on their genes to the next generation. So, in a way, resource scarcity and competition are important factors in determining which organisms survive and which ones don't.

When there's not enough food or water, animals have to compete to survive. This competition makes them work harder and get better at finding resources. The animals that are the best at competing are more likely to stay alive and have babies. So, having enough resources and being good at competing helps animals survive.
