When we get nonrenewable resources, like oil and coal, it can harm the environment by causing pollution and destroying habitats for animals. As the population grows, more people need energy and materials, which means we use even more of these resources. This can lead to running out of them faster and causing more damage to our planet. It's really important for us to think about better ways to get energy that don’t hurt the Earth as much.
