In this part of the poem "Late September" by Amy Lowell, she's talking about how awesome it feels in late September. She says the earth feels warm like a cozy blanket, and the wind is strong and playful, blowing seeds around like it's having a fun game. It's like the wind is taking off a rough outer layer from something, making it feel fresh and new. So basically, it's all about how great it feels outside in late September!
