Any of the four topics you listed can be made into an extensive cause and effect paper. If you need to research a bit, don't hesitate -- it'll make your paper more credible, especially if you follow all the guidelines for quoting, paraphrasing, and citing (http://www.ccc.commnet.edu/mla). For example, if you choose the "television and preschoolers" topic, you might want to read some of Marie Winn's work (articles, parts of books).
