Check each floor of the building and verify that the lights are out, the windows are shut, and the air conditioners are turned off. Change the answering system to "after hours" by pressing the message button and selecting "2." Make sure no one remains in the building. Use the intercom system to announce that you are leaving the building and setting the alarm. There is a keypad adjacent to the security box. Enter your employee identification number on the keypad to activate the security system. When the security box next to the keypad begins to beep, press the button labeled "security on." When the red light flashes, you have 15 seconds to exit and close the door before the alarm sounds. Company mentors should confirm that all staff understand and follow these steps.
