This year in AV Tech, I really enjoyed learning about different types of cameras and their functions. Understanding how to use a DSLR camera to capture high-quality images was fascinating to me. I loved experimenting with different settings and learning about composition to create visually striking photographs.
Another aspect of AV Tech that I found incredibly interesting was learning about audio equipment and sound editing. I enjoyed getting hands-on experience with microphones, mixers, and editing software to improve the quality of sound recordings. Understanding the importance of clear, crisp audio in videos was eye-opening for me and is a skill I know will be useful in the future.
One of the most exciting projects we worked on in AV Tech this year was creating a short film. I loved the process of brainstorming ideas, writing a script, filming, and editing to bring our vision to life. It was rewarding to see the final product and know that we had created something from scratch with our own creativity and technical skills.
Looking ahead to future classes in AV Tech, I would suggest incorporating more opportunities for collaboration among students. Working in small groups or pairs on projects can help foster teamwork and encourage students to learn from each other. Additionally, I think incorporating more guest speakers from the industry would provide valuable insight and real-world advice for students interested in pursuing a career in AV technology.
