In order for a moving object to remain in motion

A) there must be a frictional force acting on it
B) there must be a gravitational force acting on it
C) there must be a NET force acting on it
D)there must be a force acting on it
E) none of these is true

I thought that it would've had to be C because newton's 1st law states that an action remains in motion unless acted upon by a net external force. Or is it because it doesn't say external that none have to be true?

2 answers

correct. There must be no net force acting
wait. so the answer is none of them are true?
