wait no...#1 is 2.4 x 10^16
and #2 is 1.8 x 10^11
In my textbook, I was given these directions to follow when doing these problems:
**Multiply. Express each result in Scientific Notation**
1. (4 x 10^9)(6 x 10^6)
My work:
(400,000,000)(600,000)=
240,000,000,000,000
My answer:
2.4 x 10^14
Am I right?
2. (5 x 10^7)(3.6 x 10^3)
My work:
(5,000,000)(3,600)=
18,000,000,000
My answer:
1.8 x 10^10
Am I right?

Easy to lose count with all those zeros
I do them this way
(4 x 10^9)(6 x 10^6)
= (4x6)(10^9 x 10^6)
= 24 x 10^15
= 2.4 x 10^16
(5 x 10^7)(3.6 x 10^3)
= 18 x 10^10
= 1.8 x 10^11
