Please reread the question.
How can you respond to "the event" when you don't know what "the event" was???
'In "It Can't Be Helped", the author describes how racial prejudice affected her early life. Identify the key event in the selection, then explain how the author responded to the event at the time it happened and how she viewed the same even later in life.'
I can do the last 2 parts, but I can't figure out what the key event was in this..Can I please get some help?
Thanks

I haven't read this story, and I can't find information about it online.
What event do you feel was most important or most dramatic or the one that changed her life?
