If I were in the same situation, I would have made the same decision as the main character. While catching the fish may have satisfied my love for fishing and provided a sense of accomplishment, continuing the date with Sheila Mant would have been the wiser choice. Relationships and connections with people are far more valuable than a fleeting moment of triumph over a fish. By prioritizing the date and focusing on building a connection with Sheila, I would have had the opportunity to create lasting memories and possibly develop a meaningful relationship.
