number of coins for Jim --- x
number of coins for Holly --- 4x/3
(1/2)(4x/3) = (1/3)x + 10
2x/3 = x/3 + 10
times 3
2x = x + 30
x = 30
Jim has 30 and Holly has 40
check:
does Holly have 1/3 more than Jim ? YES
