In Canada do the legislature select the leader of the country
1 answer
In Canada, the legislature does not directly select the leader of the country. The leader of the country, known as the Prime Minister, is selected through a general election where citizens vote for members of Parliament (MPs) from different political parties. The political party that wins the most seats in the House of Commons, which is the lower house of parliament, typically forms the government. The leader of that political party then becomes the Prime Minister. In some cases, if no single party obtains a majority of seats, multiple parties may form a coalition government.
