In "A Meeting in the Dark," the motif of the lion-demon most likely represents
A. Being trapped between two worlds
B. self-hate
C. the foolishness of old age
D. Christian values
I am super confused about this!! I am going between A and D because the whole theme of this story is of John being trapped between two things, but i don't know if the "lion-demon motif" represents that. It might be that the lion-demon represents the Christian values that would swallow John up if he marries Wamuhu and what he has done comes out. I really need help on this! PLEASE!

I really have no idea......has anyone read this story and can you tell me your opinion???
I have read this, but A makes the most sense to me. It's hard to see how a lion or demon could represent Christianity.
Ok thank you so much! I was leaning toward A as well. :)
You're very welcome.
So is choice 'A' really the correct answer?
No, it was d
no, it's A
