I'm doing the classic experiment on "reaction time: male vs. female. " The test involve dropping a ruler and see where the subject catches it. The problem is that If i was the one to drop the ruler, depend on the subject being male or female, it would influence the way i drop the ruler so i could get the result i predicted. How would i eliminate this experimenter's bias?

Have the ruler mechanically dropped or use some other test.
