First, you take away $5.32 from $68.82 to get $63.50.

Next, you add $3.00 to 63.50 to get $66.50.

Finally, you divide $66 by two, and you get $33.25 as your final answer. The 2 pairs of sneakers cost 33.25 dollars.
I actually meant to say this:

Finally, you divide $66.50 by two, and you get 33.25 as your final answer.

And not:

Finally, you divide $66 by two, and you get 33.25 as your final answer.

So, $66 is actually supposed to be $66.50.

Sorry, that I might have just confused you again! :)
This was so confusingat first but now I understand what I have to do
Mason spent $15.85 for 3 notebook and 2 boxes of markers the boxer of markers cost $3.95 each, and the sales tax was $1.23. Mason also used a coupon for $0.75 off his purchase. If each notebook had the same cost, how much did each notebook cost
This equals to $66.50
Dunno
Mason
3.95 x 2 = 7.90 markers
15.85 - 7.90 = 7.95 left over
7.95 - 1.23(tax)= 6.72
6.72 + .75 (coupon)= 7.47
7.47/3= 2.49
90
$66.50
