My Answer :

I subtracted 58,000 from 89,000 and got 31000.

Then I divided 31,000 by 89,000 and got a large decimal number. I took the first four digits from that number and got .5344

I moved the decimal point over twice and got the answer 53.44% increase in jobs.

I think you divided 31,000 by 58,000 to get a 53.44827% increase. Rounding that number = 53.45%. This is correct.
