Frankly I don't think this is a very good question. Too many ifs in the answers.
1. I don't agree with a flying bird as an answer; however, it the bird were flying at the same speed (reference the ground) as the train and in the same direction, that could be the right answer. The correct answer is a person sitting next to you. That person is moving at the same speed as you are and going in the same direction.

2. "Observe the speed of a car that you are traveling in?" How accurate is that to be made? I don't think any of them will do if you want to know the speed of the vehicle in which you are traveling. See how fast the billboard on the side of the road whizzes by is an indication of how fast you are traveling but won't come close to telling you how fast. I would think a car next to you traveling at the same speed and in the same direction would do it IF both drivers had a walkie talkie radio and could communicate with each other.
