distance = rate*time
solve for distance.
rate = 65 miles/hour
time = 2 sec.
change 2 sec to hours first and the answer will come out in miles. Convert that to feet, then to meters. Post your work if you get stuck. I don't have my calculator handy but I think the distance in miles is about 0.04 mile which converts to about 200 feet or so. Check my thinking. Check my arithmetic. Those numbers are estimates.
If you are driving at 65mph along a straight road and you look to the side for 2 seconds, how far do you travel during this inattentive period? (Give the answer in meters and in feet)
Would i use d= d_0 + vt to solve this problem or would I use another equation?
When i used the above equation I got a ridiculously high number so I don't think that this equation is correct.
