If the t-shirts were D dollar profit, then 13D/3 will be the split between the three partners. As Anonymous points out, D must be such that the profit can be divided equally. For example, if the profit were $1 per shirt, then the profit would be $13 and that can't be split evenly three ways. However, if the profit were $3.00 per t-shirt, then the total profit is 3 x 13 = $39.00 and that can be split three ways evenly as 13.00 for each partner.
