the apparent mass=relative mass*volume-bouyancy
apparent mass=18*20 grams.
Now caution, your teacher might be trying to trick you, the real mass of the metal is constant, regardless if it is immersed or not.
If the relative density of a metal is 19 what will be the mass of 20cm^3 of the metal when immersed in water.
