If the relative density of a metal is 19 what will be the mass of 20cm^3 of the metal when immersed in water.

2 answers

bouyancy will be 20grams (mass water displaced)

the apparent mass=relative mass*volume-bouyancy

apparent mass=18*20 grams.

Now caution, your teacher might be trying to trick you, the real mass of the metal is constant, regardless if it is immersed or not.
