If the area and perimeter of a right triangle are 30 cm2 and 30 cm, respectively, what is the length of the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle)?

2 answers

a+b+c = 30
1/2 ab = 30
since b = 60/a,

a+(60/a)+√(a^2 + (60/a)^2) = 30
a = 5

the triangle is a 5-12-13 right triangle
i stuck at this point and did not get forward
a^2 -15a +60 = 0
