If anyone who has read "The Third Wish" by Joan Aiken please help! I need to know if Mr. Peters make the right decision to help him resolve his internal conflict? And I need examples from the story. Can someone please help?

You decide for yourself was it the right decision. What was his conflict (Hint: the King told him what was likely to happen in the end...so did he die better off than he started?)
