if an excess of nitrogen is reacted with 3.41 g of hydrogen, how many grams of ammonia can be produced?

2 answers

First, write out the equation:
N2+3H2 <=>2NH3

No of mol of H2->
3.41/2
=1.705 mol

Ratio of NH3 to H2 is 2:3,
Mol of NH3= (1.705/3)*2 =1.137 mol
Mass=no of mol*molar mass
=1.137*(14+3)
=19.3g
