To solve this problem we shall use the formula that relates distance, speed and time.

speed = distance/time
Or, speed*time = distance

Now, speed = 75miles/hour = 75miles/(60*60)second = 75miles/3600second = 0.020833mile/second

So, the distance travelled is = (.020833mile/second)*3second
= 0.062499mile or 0.0625mile
