If 9 2x + 1 = 81 x-2 divided by 3x, find x

1 answer

you do know that a space is not really a mathematical operator, right? I can only guess that you mean
9(2x+1) = 81(x-2)/(3x)
If so, then
(3x)(2x+1) = 9(x-2)
6x^2 + 3x = 9x-18
x^2 - x + 3 = 0
This has no real solutions, so I guess I got it wrong. Why don't you try typing it using real math notation, so I don't have to guess again?

It's not my job to figure out what you mean.
It's your job to say it so clearly you cannot be misunderstood.
