If 5 equal pieces of 25 ohm (omega) is joined in parallel then what is the equivalent resistance of it. Is it 5 or 1.please urgent

think about it. The current has 5 different paths it can follow, so the resistance is 1/5 as great. So, 5 ohms

1/R = 1/25 + 1/25 + 1/25 + 1/25 + 1/25 = 5/25 = 1/5

So, R=5

Why would you think it is 1? Time to study some more.
When a resistance wire having resistance R is cut into 5 equal parts, the resistance of each part becomes R/5 as resistance is directly proportional to length of the conductor or resistor;

So therefore the resistance of each of the five pieces will be 25/5=5 ohm

So,
Equivalent Resistance=1/5+1/5+1/5+1/5+1/5=5/5=1
Equivalent Resistance= 5ohm

The resistance of each piece is still 25 ohms.

Now, if a single 25-ohm wire had been cut into five pieces, then each piece would have had a 5-ohm resistance. That is not what we have here.
