If 150 kj of energy in used in accelerating a load of 1.5 tones at the rate of 0.56 m/s . Calcukate the distance of the load will have travelled along a level surface

1 answer

If I recall correctly, the British plural of ton is tonnes, and you are probably refering to metric tons (U.S. spelling), each with 1000 kg mass.

It is not clear whether your 0.56 m/s is a speed or an acceleration rate. In the latter case, it should be written 0.56 m/s^2.

This is really not a thermodynamics question. There is nothing about heat energy.

Assuming you meant 0.56 m/s^2 acceleration,
F = M a = 1500*0.56 = 840 N,

Distance travelled = (Energy/Force)
= 178 meters
