HOWWWWW DO YOU SOLVE THIS I'M GOING TO LOOK THIS UP!?!?!?
Jim have number of books = x - 60
Idris gave 1/3 of his books to Jim
Jim have number of books = x - 60 + x/3
Jim gave t of his books to Idris,
So, Idris have
(x - x/3) + 1/4 (x - 60 + x/3)
Now, According to question. Number of books Idris have at the end is twice to that at the first.
2x/3 + 1/4 (4x/3 - 60) + 165 = 2x
X - 15 + 165 = 2x
x = 150
So, at the end number of books Idris have
= 2 * 150 = 300
