I was given a cartoon but I cannot find it online to show you. Its a picture of the white house with a tape recorder on top. Its related to the Watergate Scandal. It asks how has the White House been modified in the picture, and what does that modification represent?
I answered by saying that It’s to show the existence of a secret taping system in the President’s office that recorded all meetings and telephone conversations. The system was set up to provide a historical record of Nixon’s Presidency. But now those audiotapes could show whether or not Nixon had actually been involved in the cover up.
Does my answer seem correct & did I leave anything out? Also the last question was, what is the message of this cartoon. & I am not sure what to put.

You didn't really answer the question. It asks how the White House has been modified.

I think the cartoon is supposed to show that everything in the White House is recorded.

Ok so actually for the question that asks what does the modification represent? I can say: It’s to show the existence of a secret taping system in the President’s office that recorded all meetings and telephone conversations. The system was set up to provide a historical record of Nixon’s Presidency.
And the question that asks, what is the message of the cartoon, I can say: That those audiotapes could show whether or not Nixon had actually been involved in the cover up.

Yeah I think being modified means how it changed in the picture. And in the picture it shows the white house with a tape recorder on top to represent how everything is recorded in the whitehouse
