I was doing some research for a wildlife art contest in January and I can't seem to find a specific bit of information that is crucial to my painting. The contest requires me to paint a Greater Short Horned Lizard (Phrynosoma hernandesi) and I know that some species of short horned lizard (specifically the Regal Short Horned Lizard) are capable of squirting blood from their eyes at predators but I can't seem to find evidence that this specific species is capable of that defense. Does anyone know for sure is this species is capable of squirting blood, the contest has $500 at stake so if you do not know for sure please do not post anything on this question
