First you have to expand using the distributive property
5x + 2(x + 6) , remember multiplication comes before addition according to BEDMAS
= 5x + 2x + 12
= 7x + 12
I think this is the last question I need help on. . .I hope.
5x + 2(x + 6)
How do I find the answer?
Would I add the x to 5 making it 6x+2+6 and then adding them together to be 6x+8? But then again that is not an option so how would I get the answer?

Wait, why did the 6 get multiplied? Was it from the 2? So it would be 2 x (x+6)?
Look at 2(x + 6)
The parentheses tells us that we multiply 2 times x and 2 times 6.
Please note that online we use * to mean multiply.

Oh, okay. Also I'm sorry I forgot to use * as multiplication. But thank you two so much!
You're welcome.
