I think that:
psi= A sin kx; is a solution to Schrodinger's time independent eqn for a particle confined:
a) within an infinite pot well, and
b) within the walls of a finite well;but
psi= B exp(-kx) would only be a solution for outside the walls of a finite well.
Am I close? Thanks
